Aigul (2024)

Akhmetshina's debut album for Decca Classics, Aigul, introduced audiences to the roles that first defined her international career, with finely characterised performances of Carmen, Rosina, Cenerentola, Charlotte and Romeo. Recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the album showcases a multi-hued voice glowing from top to bottom across some of the great mezzo repertoire. Aigul went on to win the OPERA! Award 2025 for Best Album of the Year.
